Who are we?

The Des Moines Heritage Trust is a non-profit organization created to save historic buildings in the Des Moines metropolitan area. Many buildings in the community are currently endangered due to neglect or plans for redevelopment. We advocate for and acquire these undervalued historic sites to preserve the rich history of Des Moines.

What do we do?

As a vehicle for historic preservation in the Des Moines area, we raise funds to advocate for and preserve historic buildings by hosting events at the Des Moines Heritage Center.
